So tomorrow is the Doctor Who Easter special and I'm...not excited. There's a few reasons this could be:

1) I've had a crappy week and I'm horribly sick with a stupid spring cold that stubbornly will not leave me alone.

2) It's one episode. Then nothing again until Christmas. And Torchwood is only a one week mini-series type thing this year. And that won't even be on until summer.

3) Another episode done means we're one more episode closer to David Tennant's departure.

I'm hoping it's a combination of the above. Then again, I haven't exactly been looking forward to this episode in the months leading up to it either, so I can't really blame my lack of interest on the past week. Which leaves the second two reasons, which lead to a whole boatload of other reasons, which...I'm not going to get into right now because my head might explode.

Maybe I'll just wait to watch it until the kids come home on Sunday. It's not like we have to watch it tomorrow.

*gasps*

I feel for your lack of excited feelings! What a horrible travesty. And it really sucks that you're sick. Uhg, it seems like my whole f-list if sick lately. Crappy. :(

Well hope you feel better!

And I totally get your feelings toward the new ep, or at least the part where it's another step closer to the end. *shrieks with outrage* Noooooooooo!

*sighs* I'm gonna miss him. Oh boy.

I know. *sighs with you*

Think we'll need a support group?

I think there might even be one or two already in place, lol.

Getting ready early for the hordes of fangirls who'll be screaming their outrage to the sky?

...I should join one.

Yeah me too. I'm gonna cry so much when he dies. :'(

But I'm actually kind of looking forward to seeing Matt's take... at first I was titchy on it, but the more I think about it, the more I'm liking the idea, even though I'm gonna miss David terribly.

I'm very interested to see what Matt does with it as well. My biggest issue with him right now is that he's younger than me and that just feels wrong. The Doctor should be older than me...even if it's only by a few years like David.

Yeah... I've always preferred older men in roles like that. And just in general. XD I'm not one to take to guys near my age. It's a maturity thing. Hopefully it'll get better, lol. *sighs* There's just something yummy and awesome about David that no one can replicate. At least, not that I can see.

But yeah I'm hoping for good things from Matt. He definitely seems energetic enough! So I'm not gonna say anything other than I'm looking forward to seeing his character until I see it: I'm not one to give out prejudice going on age only.

In general you're right about this year being very un-DW/TW-y, though according to my knowledge the next DW special is due some time in autumn and the last two ones will be aired around Christmas and New Years Eve.

Is the next one in the fall? See, I'd seen that as the schedule, then it seemed to change to the next one being at Christmas time.

Well, that's a bit better as far as the wait goes but...*shrug* It's all just bringing us one step closer to Tennant's departure. And though I've come to terms with him leaving (and am actually sort of looking forward to seeing what sort of personality the new Doctor will have), I'm also dreading it. This'll be my first "official" regeneration, as it happens. And I'm so attached to Ten that...I'm seriously considering watching the episode alone. Jeff and the kids will just tease me for crying if I watch it with them.

Well, don't nail me down to it but I think David said this a couple of days ago in one of the many interviews he gave, so I'd say that is pretty much the official schedule for now. Which would make sense with TW being aired in the summer.

BTW - sorry for not being available for chatting but I'm actually busy writing index cards which contain the most important stuff we got taught so far since the internship has started, and I'm on a good roll, so all I'm doing internetwise is checking my emails every now and then, quickly replying and then getting back to my index cards.

I'm still mad about Torchwood not being on until Summer. And the whole thing where it's only a week-long. They've made me seriously cut back on my BBC programming and that sucks. :( Though...I've become quite addicted to Top Gear and Cash in the Attic.

Don't worry about not being on. I'm feeling a bit better today. Trying to get some stuff done myself. Like Children of Time Awards stuff and answering emails and maybe, just maybe, doing some more writing. Kid come home in a few hours and then I get to be busy with them and watching Planet of the Dead and stuff.

Honestly... I've come to the conclusion that being mad about the BBC schedule is a waste of time and even more so of energy. I'm just happy we get some TW and DW. But I see your point. I was quite mad myself for some time.

I'm feeling a bit relieved now that you are feeling a bit better today *huggles*. Hope you can enjoy a nice evening :)

Hopefully the bit better mood will last, yeah?

Kids are coming home soon so I'm hoping for a quiet evening. Maybe they'll be tired.

If not, make them run around the house for 10 minutes or so *giggles*

Right, time's off... back to the index cards... *scribbles*
